this ball does look fishy. jeter will sign for fans sometimes. but if you look at the "D" in his name it looks very shakey and looks like the signer was taking their time and players dont sign their name slowly. but again a sig could look diff. from their regular one but if they got bumped, or they could have been somehow else affected.
that ball is horrible. it is slow and deliberate.
bet my house its fake.players flow through there signature like they sign it all the time so its like secind nature.if jeter got bumped the pen would of went off the item or slashed right through it not shake like there busy looking at a real jeter auto as there trying to sign it.
That is a good point about the flow of an autograph. Guys like Jeter and Montana have signed thousands and thousands of autographs and they are experts at doing it. They rarely make mistakes and it is usually extremely consistent.
We have had people say, "My own signature is different every time so how can you judge a fake?" Our answer is that normal people don't sign their name 1000 times in a row and normal people don't need to worry about consistency because they don't get paid for their autograph!
Simply a very bad fake. It doesn't get much worse than this.
the perfect ball for shop at home ha ha ha ! (fake)
Clearly a bum signature. The curves and pressure are a little too intentional. Last I heard, Jeter signs mail in-person - but with a long turnover. You're better sending in a card or a ball and riding out the wait. At least if you don't want to dump well over a hundred bucks for a certified Jeter ball.
This is atrocious!
I always question balls that are not signed on the sweet spot if there is only 1 autograph. All players sign on sweet spots.
Clearly a fake Jeter autograph. No doubt about it. To view real Jeter autographs, please go to our site at http://www.sportsintegrity.com and search for Jeter. Thanks!
real piece of work :(

this is a derek jeter signed ball. 04 gold glove. i'm wondering if it's real or fake.
Looks more like Mark McGwire autograph than a Jeter autograph, and that's bad! I love the site, keep up the great job guy's!!!
Actually - the guy who said all players sign on the sweet spot is incorrect...sorry. I am from St. Louis, and Mark Mcgwire was a scrupulous man when it came to signing autographs - he knew who wanted to sell his signature and who would keep it as a treasure. If you asked him to sign on the sweet spot, he might hand the ball back to you. Some guys have contracts that might say - NO SWEET SPOT - so they automatically turn it on it's side.
