Chicago Bears Team Signed Football?
Well they lost the Super Bowl, but you will still see thousands of questionable Bears and Colts merchandise hit the market in the next few weeks. As we have mentioned before, team signed items are very hard to come by, especially when you are dealing with a team in the Super Bowl. This auction noted that the ball was signed by Lovie Smith and a lot of the Super Bowl team. It said the signatures were obtained in person.
Of course, we can't tell if the signatures are real or not -- we can just say that this would be an extremely difficult ball to get a hold of. This was sent to us by one of our readers, look at the picture and you make the call.

Ebay Auction # 220077428555
Cardinals World Series Team Signed Jersey.
I have seen about 10 of those GAI jerseys.Remember the arugiment about the Cards team signed bat? Compare the two items and tell me that the sigs are close...ESP Pujols. Funny how on the LOA, the ony sig that they showclose up is the Pujols sig. The P and the S in Pujols are terrible. I have given up, whoever gets them will eventually pay the price.
Look fellas/ladies,
You have to be leery of anything that is in headlines...Superbowl items, World Series, and even this:
290081478429 an Anna Nicole Smith signed baseball...and 204 more autographed items from her on eBay. People were busy last night.
im not gonna call this cards jersey real or fake because i just dont know the signatures well enough but heres my big tiff with this jersey or any of the gai team signed items
NONE OF THEM TELL YOU WERE THEY CAME FROM.wouldnt you think thats pretty important from a sales pitch to explain who, what, where, when and why it was signed.it has albert pj on it,dont you think that deserves at least a short sentence about it other then just its been ceritifed by the badboys from global??i allways say where it was signed on my listing or at list just a private signing in a certain city.on a multi signed item i go into graphic detail about who signed,in what order, different dates locations and signing photos for each
jeter_sucks"
the suspense is killing me about the bears helmet.lol
funny the seller of the cards signed jersey was alos the winning bidder of the cards signed bat we talked about last week.i asked him where it came from and he was very skecthy about why im asking and finaly he just said it came from another dealer in st louis and he didnt want to give up his source because he wants to buy another one if it comes around///smells like bullshit
jeter_sucks"
If it was a dealer is STL I would have seen it at a show here (I go to every one). And I have not seen it. I know of a few dealers who wouldn't touch it.
I was in a local store at lunch and asked a trusted friend/dealer about the GAI authenticated Bats/Jersey from the 2006 Cardinals. He said that he was present during a recent signing that took place with a few Cardinals. HOWEVER...3 Big Names were absent - EDMONDS PUJOLS ROLEN...There were 20+ guys who signed for memebers of families and office personnel.
HE showed me a Cards team signed bat at Heritage Auctions
It looks just like the GAI bat we discussed earlier in the week minus the sigs of the big guys. I will admit that I was wrong about the Taguchi sig...it looks good on this bat, but it proves my point about the authenticity of these bats. It looks like someone added the sigs of the bigger named guys -this is not a new trick, as JS talked about the Jeter/Bernie photo. But for GAI to not pick this up is BAD.
Is item #150089742548 a real Colts Signed Super bowl helmet? Is this a good one to buy?
What does everybody think of sports-graphs. Im thinking of putting an offer in on a Larry Walker 8x10. Item # 260060576601. I've just started collecting a few things and wanted some opinions before I offered anything on it.
BR
The Larry Walker photo as well as their Stan Musial and Ozzie Smith signed photos look good. Actually, I have been looking at that Walker photo...don't wait too long to bid.
Dave
the colts helmet is actually item: 150090500135
there is no way in hell thats real. one thing i know if that i have recently bought is Joe Addai. He does NOT sign his full name for the public anymore. it is just JA#29. his few recent priviate deals he has done full signatures but hes all JA29. that just tells you , a small screw up. Also how do they get this GAI'ed so quick? Manning is exclusive with MM now as well. crazy bs if you ask me
that same guy with the team signed colts, if you look at past auctions he has sold bears, saints and multiple colts helmets. pretty handy he has 2 of the 3 teams that were in the bowl. some sold at 300 some sold at over 1000.00. no way in hell
jeter_sucks what is your ebay user name. you are a dealer that is on the show curcuit correct?
LETS STATE THE FACTS:chris stated
"I helped HBO Sports prep their show on the same subject last January and was in New York twice to meet with the producers to describe to them the 'bad guys' methods and who they are."
IF CHRIS WAS SO INTEGRAL IN THE SHOW, WHY DID HE NEVER APPEAR OR GET CREDIT? PRODUCERS FROM HBO COULD TELL HE WASN'T AN EXPERT SO HE WAS SO HE TURNED TO THIS BLOG AND NOW ALLAUTHENTIC.COM GAVE HIM HIS STAGE.
I'D LIKE TO KNOW CHRIS' ACTUAL CREDENTIALS. MY RECOMMENDATION IS FOR CHRIS TO START STATING THE FACTS IF HE'S GOING TO USE THIS OUTLET B/C IT SEEMS AS THOUGH THIS IS HIS ONLY MEANS OF SPREADING SLANDEROUS BANTER ABOUT SOME LEGIT AND NOT-SO-LEGIT DEALERS.
HIS MAIN GOAL IS TO DESTROY BUSINESSES AND WASTE HOURS ON END HARRASSING THOSE IN THE AUTOGRAPH INDUSTRY.
AFTER PERUSING THE OTHER BLOGS, I'M BETTING ON WHO WILL JUMP TO CHRIS' RESCUE FIRST IN RESPONSE TO THIS ENTRY.
im jumping to nobodys rescue.whoever has the hard on for chris must of been selling fake jeters or its likely you would of never been put on this blog.
in response to anonymous yes im a promoter.i contract my own signing, buy into others and represent 2 athletes exclusive.i run a very successful business with store front, web site and full service ebay presense.
if i wanted you to know my name i would of posted it on here.i chose to keep my companys name anonymous with a site like this with so many personal attacks and slander of others its from a legal standpoint i wish to do this
also to correct anonymous peyton manning signed a exclusive deal with steiner AND mounted memories.there are 50/50 partners and both will advertise peyton as there exclusive
jeter_sucks"
notice peyton has 675 items listed under autographs.i only scrolled the first couple of items and noticed 270088085559 a 8x10 with inscb "sbxli mvp" with a gai coa
whats wrong with this picture??first off besides the worthless gai coa look at his signature.doesnt look like a real peyton signature.how did he get him to sign sbxli mvp??keep in mind he put this auction up 1 week after the superbowl allready with a global coa.how did he get it back so fast?theres only one way if he took it to a show gai was step up at and they did a exaim there, problem there wasnt any shows.
notice the ink on the inscb sbxli mvp looks brighter and bolder then the actual signature.my opinion is this 8x10 was authenticated by global and then after the superbowl the seller forgered sbxli mvp to boost the sale thinking he has nothing to worry about with the coa card.how much you wanna bet if you punch the serial # in it will be before sbxli.
this is just another example of the so many different ways people are getting conned on ebay with sports autographs
jeter_sucks"
yep, now you need JSA to look at the PSA COA and PSA to look at the GAI COA. So each auto now needs to be authenticated by all of them and then it may be a real autograph.
In reply to a previous comment in reference to my participation in that HBO Sports special in January 2006. First of all, I was writing for this blog way before my participation in the HBO Sports show. As a matter of fact, I was contacted by one of the HBO producers because of my writings in my blog. So please get your facts straight before you write about something you know nothing about. And secondly, I don't need anyone to "rescue me" from anything. I own tons of documented proof beginning with my investigation well over two years ago. Third, you don't need so-called "credentials" to know the garbage that is being sold on Ebay by the thousands. I wouldn't have caught the hundreds of crooked sellers that I caught if it wasn't for the hundreds of forged Jeter autographs that were on Ebay on a daily basis when I first started my investigation. When I first noticed all of those forged Jeter autographs on Ebay it then got me thinking "what other fake autographs are these sellers selling?" And that's when I first realized that these sellers were selling forged autographs of every major athlete from every major sport. I would check their auctions on a daily basis. I would go back in their feedback history as far as I could and see what they sold in the past. I connected the dots on "rings of bad sellers" and discovered they were hiding behnd "mail forwarding addresses." Those are my "credentials." Hours of hard work and connecting the dots and wondering "How this seller, who didn't have contracts with athlete, could be selling 200-300 autographs per week of every major athlete from every major sport." Those are my credentials, hard work and common sense. Please do not waste your time trying to intimidate me or get me to back off. I'm also sure that if I did need backing in here a few of my friends in here would back me up. I'm not here for anyone to like me. As a matter of fact, there are a few writers in here who are on the same side as me but don't like me. I could care less. It's not about me. It's about educating those collectors who are getting ripped off on Ebay and it's also about exposing those who continue to sell forged autograph items on Ebay and the other auction sites. I don't hide like many of the crooks do. As a matter of fact, us "good guys" are more of a target then you "bad guys." But I will state this with full confidence and that is there are a lot less forged Jeter and Pujols autogrpahs on Ebay because of this blog. Those "bad guys" know we are watching. And the GAI junk, well that's another story that we've go into with great detail in here. The bottom line is that we aren't going away.....Chris W.
I emailed the guy selling the Manning 8X10 with the SB XLI MVP insription and asked for the GAI number. He said its GV 215643. I checked it out but it didnt give a date.
BR
Does anybody know anything about NAXCOM.com. A seller on ebay puts this in all his auctions.
"All items come straight from NAXCOM.com with their own COA. NAXCOM only has items from guests from their own signings. NAXCOM does not buy or sell autographs from anyone else, so you know that their autographs are 100% authentic and accounted for."
I checked out the site and it looks like anyone can buy or sell on that website. It seems to be similar to ebay. He's got some stuff I would like to buy but I'm not sure about his claims on this NAXCOM.com website. If anyone knows anything about this I would greatly appreciate it.
BR
that GAI # 215643 for the manning 8x1 is so months ago. i would call GAI and have them verify the autograph date. they should be able to tell you , and if they can't ask them how the hell they could authenticate the inscrp that i know manning with his new deals he wouldn't sign for someone in public. this guy needs to go for doing this
WHAT HAPPENED TO ESP- KENNY ON EBAY , IT SAYS NO LONGER REGISTERED USER?
Apparently, ESP was booted for some shadiness. We shall see.
Chris - keep up the good work, your efforts have rid the collecting community of many high profile forgery scams (baseballdome, fansindastands, etc.)
I need a favor...anyone who has experience with Mantle or Maris, email me...I have some signed photos that I need an opinion on. I think that they are from the Operation Bullpen era - but I want to hear someone else say it. A mom who reads this blog bought a collection and may have been burned.
Thanks - Dave Bigtruck260@msn.com
jeter_sucks, how is it that you get an athlete exclusive? i'm a marketing major hoping to start up a memorbilia company and was looking to get an athlete or two. are your guys people you know? or did you contact them with an offer? if so, what kind of offer did you give? i've searched the net and haven't found anything that would help me. thanks
i cant stand dumb people!!!
i can't stand anonymous posters.
<3 toby keith
TO BIGTRUCK,CHRIS,AND ALL OF YOU WITH A KIND AND HELPING HEART WHO HAS HELPED ME.....I JUST WANTED TO THANK YOU ALL FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE FOR ME I MAY HAVE BEEN TAKEN FOR EVERY PENNY I HAVE, BUT MY LOVE FOR THE GAME AND MY SONS REMAIN UNTOUCHED. I HAVE LEARNED AN EXSPENSIVE LESSON. I CANT PASS THE AUTOGRAPHES ON TO THE BOYS [ AS I WILL BE DESTROYING THEM TO INSURE NOBODY ELSE GETS HURT BY RECIEVING A FAKE ] BUT I CAN PASS ON THE EXPERIANCE SO THEY NEVER HAVE TO GO THROUGH IT. SO I CAN FIND SOME COMFORT IN THAT AT LEAST. BLESS YOU ALL AND THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART AND SOUL. PLEASE DONT EVER STOP WHAT YOUR DOING! WITH LOVE.....BASEBALLMOMX5
j-man its not too hard to sign a athlete.in order to do good in this business like any you need money to make money.athletes want $$$$ ,some want more some not so much.some guys get 1 year deals,2,3,6 plus year deals with guarenteed money.you can pay a guy by the hour or by the signature.
as far as getting connections thats what makes you vaulable in the trade.its who you know thats worth money.i book athletes all the time for other companys.for example lets say all authentic wanted to do a signing with ozzie smith but didnt have the agent connection with ozzie, they call me i book the deal for them and charge 15%fee.i have 2 exclusives one of which ive had a long term working realtionship with and the second i signed exclusive i never even met until after the deal was done.i actually got that guy because his agent who repersents him also reps a few players ive done signings with and called me to let me know he has a player of interest.its funny how things unfold.you also have to be careful because when the deal is done if the player sucks you still got to pay him unless you have special prtection clauses in the contract.
i can tell you this steiner and mounted had to hand peyton serious money to get that deal done.why do you think there 50/50 partners?because of the amount of money.im doing great but im not big time like them or even close
Good insight Jeter - S.
SO you use holograms, COA's etc." And what info is on your COA's? This might help some collectors to understand what a legit company does to protect their customers/themselves.
TO Baseball Mom, we are also going to help you get the person who ripped you off.
i make my own coas, holograms and offer a signing photo with each item.i dont use third partys like psa,gai etc etc unless its a rare item.my opinion is i cant control what another company does, for example gai.look at there poor opinions.why risk my companys name by putting it next to theres.i witness everything so i sleep well at night making my own coa's.
a coa is only as good as the companys that issues it
jeter_sucks"
thanks for the info jeter_sucks.. i've been in contact with a former all-star's agent, and hopefully between the info you gave me and whatever he can offer me to help, i can get something started.
and baseball mom, i was ripepd off a few months ago and then i found out after i found this site. recently, that seller had all of his items taken down on ebay. whether or not he's gone for good, i'm sure losing those auctions lost him well over a thousand dollars of expected income that week. the reason his items were taken down i believe was from the work that goes on in here. so expect to be well taken care of here. i'm sorry to hear you've been ripped off, i hope that doesn't disuade you from this hobby because there are many honest and legit sellers out there.
jeter_sucks, where do you get holograms made? a whle ago, i came up with a company name, logo, and a plan. now all i need is clientele. i'm just curious to know what holograms would cost.
tamper proof holograms just cost like a quarter or so
if you want something with a picture in it like the montanna hologram be prepared to pay lots of money for the font
j-man,
i am so sorry to here about you getting ripped off! as for my collecting autographes...i am sorry to say I am done. I havent the time nor the resources to start over. However my love for the game will never be tarnished by jerks looking to make a dollar!if more people could read this site it would enpower them in making choices on what to buy and what not to buy. iI wish i would have seen this site befour i was so stupid. please keep up everything you all do. your work is so important! If i can ever do anything at all to help you, please dont hesitate to ask. even if it is nothing more than sending a donation to help keep this site up and running. you all have worked to help me and i thank you.
lots of love and respect.......crystal
Guys-
I have been in close contact with Crystal (baseballmomx5) for a few days now. Her situation is why this blog is so important -
She has been conned for a large amount of money by one greedy person. I have the name and number of the dealer - and I will post it after I talk with him.
Apparently, he has sold her several Mantle items, Maris items, Dimaggio items, and Ted Williams items. At least one of the items has a COA from the J. Dimaggio company. For those that know, this is a connection to the Marion forgery ring detailed in the FBI's Operation Bullpen from a few years back.
Dealers who have been around should know about these items, and should not be re-selling them. however, I think that this person preyed on a good-hearted person with money...and took her for everything she had. Crystal is not stupid, just under-educated.
The cards shop is located in VA - anyone live here or close to Roanoke? Let me know.
wow, with how long ago bullpen was, there is no reason there should still be anything on the market with a coa from the j.dimaggio company.. just that is reason enough to believe that he is a con man. even if he bought it from someone, you would think he would research to see who issued the certificate. if he would have googled that, he would have found a bunch of reports related to the FBI's operation bullpen.
i hope he's willing to give her her money back. i would contact authorities local to roanoke. or maybe even the better business bureau. i don't know if any of them would help her, but it might be worth a shot. it definately sounds like greed though. he found an unsuspecting woman with money, and that was like winning the lottery to him. if i can help in any way, let me know.
J-Man, it is getting worse every minute...
SHe also has COA's from SCAA (another part of the Bullpen forgery ring) and a horrid Dimaggio forgery that was explained to her as basically a deathbed signature. "Joe was very sick when he signed this"...
I called the shop and got a runaround from a guy who claimed to be the owner, and said that another guy was taking care of her...I told her to call the local police and have someone escort her to the shop - and she should get her money back. No trades, just her money back. I will post the info for the card shop this evening - anyone who wants to see photos of anything I have mentioned, my email addy is bigtruck260@msn.com
This is Rob from 2004senod2004-everything I sell is authentic,I get them signed in person-anyone who would like to contact me,I will be more than happy to speak with them-Rob
Rob - All of your Cardinals items are questionable. Sorry, but I know what I am talking about.
hey rob, i saw some chase utley items you had up a week ago and they were very questionable. the one item had his signature with the number 21. chase wears number 26. since i am aware of his uniform number, i would hope that chase utley himself is aware of it as well.
i don't even need to dwell on anything else after i saw that.
I will write more later, but I wanted to make a quick reply to the guy who calls himself "Rob (seller 2004senod2004)." So you got all of those autographs you have sold (all 1744) in person. How come the autograph items of your that I submitted to "Quick Opinion" have all failed? You're going to tell me that your Ebay Item Numbers (300077223058, 300077223811, and 300077224432) are authentic? No way! And that Bon Jovi autographed guitar? Give me a break, Rob. Your stuff is so obviously fake, and I have filed so many complaints with Ebay, that I am surprised you are still allowed to sell your questionable garbage on Ebay. You should really be ashamed of yourself. Rob, you better hope that another "Operation Bullpen" is not in process right now. And if one isn't ongoing right now, I have a gut feeling that an investigation similar to "Operation Bullpen" will happen sometime in the future, especially since the situation with forged autographs is worse on Ebay now then it was before "Operation Bullpen." And the reason is because there are more copycat "bad sellers" on Ebay because they have discovered how easy it is to get away with it on Ebay. And, Crystal, as Bigtruck stated, we will do all we can to try to get your money back. I am not surprised that anything from The Marino Bros. or anything with a COA from The Joe DiMaggio Co. is still being bought and sold. All of the junk on Ebay that gets bought eventually gets sold. We call it the "trickle down effect." It's what floods the market with forgeries.....Chris W.
check out item #130079745657, as well as all other autographs being sold by that seller. this particular item is a card signed by mickey mantle. the card is a reprint, and i wouldn't be suprised if it were made after mickey had passed. he also has an 8x10 signed by arod and jeter (130079755415) i'm a righty, and i could sign jeter's signature better left handed. and be sure to check out his jimi hendrix signed album (130079769885)that starts at $19.99 and has no reserve. if that was a legit signature, i think an auction house could bring in over 3 grand for it. i'd bet my car as well as my autograph collection that this guy sells 100% BS.
Take a look at Rob's (2004senod2004) item#300077224161 that he sold recently. It's a Peyton Manning Mini Helmet and tell me what you think.
Now go check out Steiner Sports and see what a real Manning sig looks like. That mini isn't even close.
BTW, how do you sell a Lemiux puck for $25?
#300077224427 is a Tom Brady that is off.
You're going to tell me you got a George Steinbrenner auto in person? That's a tough one! And you sold it for $32!
-BC
J-Man, good catch on that seller "Robinsonscollectables." I was already looking into their Mickey Mantle and Billy Martin autograph items....Chris W.
Robb, please do not insult our intelligence here. We know what you sell and you know what you sell. You should be ashamed of yourself.....Chris W.
hey 2004senod2004, nice a-rod signed ball you sold for $40, brian urlacher mini helmet for $39, chris carpenter baseball for $17.51, john elway signed sports illustrated for $14.95, david wright mini helmet for $20, and ryan howard mini helmet for $19.95. do you know what they all have in common other than they sold for way below value? they are obvious fakes. each and every item i looked at in your feedback was fake. you must have some great connections to meet all those athletes in person. how many items did reggie bush sign for you? i counted like 5 that you sold in your feedback. the ryan howard signature is probably the worst fake howard i have ever seen. i have many items signed by him in person from when he played in reading, some from mitchell marketing, and a couple on insert cards. his signature varied over time, but it has never looked like the one you sold.
you must be an idiot to come on here and say that everything you sell is authentic.
they may all be signed in person like you say, but i can guarantee they aren't signed by the athletes. maybe signed in person by a buddy of yours or even yourself.
was a-rod drunk when he signed this? 300077223048
maybe he was with david ortiz who was also intoxicated when he signed this 300077223564
guess what, your time is soon up pal. i'm happy we finally got someone in PA because i can finally use my connections. what county are you in? if you are so sure of your items, give us a contact address for you. i hope you're in montgomery county, it would be a lot easier for me to get police and the DA involved with you.
"everything I sell is authentic,I get them signed in person-anyone who would like to contact me,I will be more than happy to speak with them"
you're a worthless punk. just think of all the people you sold your items too that bought them as gifts for kids and husbands, who will one day find out they are fake. many hearts will be broken.
CHRIS AND J-MAN,
FIRST I WANT TO SAY IN RESPONSE TO THE LAST PART OF YOUR COMMENT TO ROB---"yEA LIKE ME" SHAME ON YOU FOR DOING THAT TO OTHER PEOPLE. AS FOR THE REST OF YOU GUYS-THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR HELP. I CAN NEVER SAY THIS ENOUGH. I WANTED TO GIVE YOU A SMALL UPDATE ON THINGS. THE FORMER CO OWNER OF THE SHOP HAS NOT YET RETURNED MY MESSAGE ABOUT HIS AUTOGRAPHES. THE SHOP OWNER DID TELL ME THAT HE WAS SURE THE THINGS WAS REAL BECAUSE HE SENT ALL THE REST OF WHAT HE HAD WITH THE SAME COAS OFF TO GIA AND THEY ALL CAME BACK LIGIT. HOWEVER HE WILL TRADE ME OR GIVE ME STORE CREDIT. HE WILL BE OUT OF TOWN FOR A CARD SHOW AND WILL NOT BE BACK UNTILL IT IS OVER. HE IS GOING SOME PLACE UP NORTH. SO WE WILL SEE. I JUST DO NOT WANT THIS BS GETTING OUT THERE ON THE MARKET TO BE RESOLD AND HAVE SOME LITTLE BOYS HEART BEING BROKE WHEN HE GETS HIS FIRST ROGER MARIS AUTOGRAPH AND LATER FINDS OUT THAT IT WASNT WORTH WIPPING HIS YOU KNOW WHAT ON!!!!!!I DO HAVE SOME GOOD NEWS HOWEVER!!!----I JUST SAVED A TON OF MONEY BY SWITCHING TO SHOP AT HOME! I BOUGHT AN MNS JERSEY THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THE AWAY JERSEY.INSTEAD I RECEIVED THE HOME JERSEY THAT WASNT EVEN ON THE WEB SITE. NOR DO THEY EVEN SELL! IT WAS A SHIPPING MISTAKE FROM THE FACTORY IN MY FAVOR.WOO-HOO! YOU CAN SEE THE GREY ONE ON THERE WEB SITE. HOPE I DID GOOD ON THAT ONE! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GUYS!!!!!THAT FORENSIC GUY HAS BEEN E-MAILING ME WITH INTERESTING CRAP. BIGTRUCK I WILL BE FORWARDING IT TO YOU. HE WANTS TO KNOW HOW I FOUND OUT THE AUTOGRAPHES WERE NOT REAL. NOT WAS I SURE OR WHO TOLD ME THEY WAS NOT? ONLY "HOW DID I FIND OUT" DOES THAT STRIKE ANYBODY AS FUNNY? MAYBE ITS JUST ME.
J-Man and Bigtruck, did you notice that seller "Robinsonscollectables" is already "Unregistered" on Ebay. That was fast. I emailed Ebay about them and it looks like Ebay took quick action. But I still have to ask Ebay "Why weren't they flagged immediately after they registered under a new Ebay ID?"......Chris W.
I noticed - Robinsoncollectables=piece of trash...good riddance.
Crystal, GAI will authenticate anything these days. Anyone who saw those Mantle and Maris photos you sent me knows that they were fake. A little kid could tell the difference.
And for that awful DiMaggio ball that he supposedly signed on his deathbead...geez. The worst ever.
The guys at that shop took advantage of you and that is that. Do not trade with them...they know what they did, and they are trying to buy your silence.
HEY FELLAS - Here is the shop in question...
The Wax Box in Roanoake, VA
and Pine Spur Sports
email me if you want the phone number and more disturbing photos of what Crystal was sold. Lets get these bast*rds.
crystal
do not accept store credit or allow this con to further play games with your mind about whats real and not real.only accept a refund for your purchase otherwise its likely hes gonna give you more fake crap to deal with
cons prey on woman worse then men in this business.
call that guy out and ask him to show you the other high end items he sent to gai!he will say he sold them.ask him for his subbmission paperwork from gai.he wont have it
jeter_sucks"
just updateing the blog about that peyton manning 8X10 with inscb"sbxli mvp"
contacted one of my sources at global and heres there response
"global says"
"Thank you for the email about this item. I looked it up on eBay with the info
you emailed me. We DID NOT authentic this item. From the photo listed on eBay,
it doesn't even show the c.o.a. affixed to the Manning photo.
Again, thanks for following up on this item."
needless to say the photo sold to a sucker for over 200 bucks

Hey guys,
can you tell me who sells real autographes? What or who is the best place to buy from? What do you think about r&s collectables? Are they ok to deal with?
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!!!
No girls allowed!
why no girls allowed? afraid you'll get cooties?
i think the rest of us are all out of elementary school, where we can be mature anough to allow females into our hobbies. right?
thanks j-man. I promise I won't give you cooties!!!
Hey Crystal,
This is Rob ebay id: 2004senod2004-check out my items-they are all authentic-the guys on here can vouch for me. Hey Chris-as far as you complaining to ebay about me-you know why I am still allowed to sell on ebay-because all my items are AUTHENTIC!!
YEA ROB,
AUTHENTIC CRAP
hey rob i met mickey mantle once and got him to sign 18 baseballs for me.. what would be a good BIN price, $19.95 each, or $40 each??? since you do so well as selling things about 250+% below value
This post has been removed by the author.
crystal don't waste your time with him.. everything he sells is fake. he'll go into a story about how he's allowed to sell on ebay because it's all real, but why did ebay let baseballdome or fansindastands sell so much? because they sold real signatures? nope, they (ebay) get paid listing and final value fees. the same reason why our buddy rob is allowed to.
the only thing i would believe coming from him is if he said that everything he sells is fake.
Ok. I would love to meet a real honest seller with some real ligit autographs! I think I will just give up buying. But i still love those m & m boys!!! The messed up thing is that everybody wants my REAL dollars for their FAKE AUTOGRAPHS! HOW IS THAT FAIR? maybe I should start buying fake autographs with fake money! That way nobody gets ripped!
ROB YOUR SO FULL OF SHI* DONT USE THIS FORUM TO ATTEMPT TO SELL YOUR.IM SURE CHRIS WILL BE LICKING HIS CHOPS WAITING FOR YOUR NEW LISTINGS TO GET YOU KICKED OFF FOR GOOD

"Rob" -
This is not the place to be snide or cocky. All you will do is fuel the fire of the people who want to bring you down. The only people who buy your stuff are the ones who don't know any better...you are just a predator.
In here, though, you are prey.
yeah rob, why don't you scroll up and read my long post to you and get back to me. i've been waiting.
im thinking about buying something from onlinesports.com. does anyone know if theyre a trustworthy site or if they sell fakes? thanks

Last time I check Rob, you had nothing listed. Let the forum check out your "authentic signatues" - by the way, after you made that lst post, I forwarded some of your past auctions to Cardinals Care and IronClad authentics - two organization that stand to lose money from your auctions. Kinda funny that IronClad gets $120 for the real thing and you only get $16...the ball costs $12, and your time must cost something...plus eBay fees.
The reason people go into business is to make money - something you are a miserable failure at. At least fansindastands was making a profit.
I have seen some of the stuff Chris Morales has authenticated - There is a Mantle and Maris photo that some of you have seen (apparently Morales authenticated) in my archived email...you be the judge of it.
Morales's credentials are impressive, but make no mention of any sports memorabilia experience. Hadnwriting analyisis and trends are fine, but humans are humans...we make mistakes. Also, I would be willing to bet that some of the buyers of auction house memorabilia are newbies who want to showcase their wealth by purchasing an expensive piece - which in most cases could be verified by provenance and need no authentication...
Anyone who saw those Mantle and Maris photos that I have - knows what was up with them. If an anonymous poster is here trying to defend Morales, that is fine let us know who you are - I'd actually like to hear more about him.
BIGTRUCK,
FEEL FREE TO USE MY PHOTOGRAPHES TO EDUCATE THE WORLD ABOUT CHRISTOPHER MORALES AND HIS "WOUNDERFUL" WORK! i STILL HAVE YET TO SEE A REFUND! iF SOME ONE ON HERE LIKES CHRIS'S WORK THEN BUY IT. iT IS NONE OF MY BUSINESS. aLL i CAN SAY IS BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO. dONT BE SUPRISED WHEN YOU FIND OUT YOU HAVE WASTED YOUR MONEY. tHAT IS ONLY MY OPINION.
Hey guys. Sorry but my ISP was down for 36 hours due to the ice storm here in NJ. Anyway, I started reading the comments a few minutes ago and I am enjoying the fact that this blog is getting hotter by the day. I also enjoy it when sellers like "2004senod2004" reads about the garbage he has been selling on Ebay. Sorry, Rob, but no one here is going to vouch for you and you know that. As long as sellers like you continue to sell forgeries on Ebay we will continue to expose that same fact. And the only reason you are allowed to stay on Ebay and sell is because (like Bigtruck mentioned) of placement fees and commissions from sales. I will admit that as much as it bothers me that sellers like you are allowed to sell that garbage, it bothers me even more that Ebay is profiting from the sales of that same junk. One of these days you'll go down with the rest of them. I also received a photo of that fake Joe DiMaggio autographed baseball that Crystal purchased at that card shop. You mean to tell me they didn't know exactly what they sold her? I am sure they did. I will be contacting them myself. It really is sad that the hobby of collecting has come to this. At this point I would venture to say that there are more fake autograph items owned by collectors than authentic ones, and that is really sad. Instead of Bigtruck and myself writing about our collections (like I would prefer to do) we have to write about those bad sellers who stink up the industry. It really makes me wonder how these people sleep at night knowing the garbage they are selling. I also wonder how Meg sleeps at night knowing that some of her income comes from the sales of forged autograph items. many of the bad sellers on Ebay (past and present) should feel fortunate that they aren't in jail. And even if Ebay continues to be slow in getting rid of the bad sellers we will be quick to expose them here.....Chris W.
Hey Guys, love the site. I'm a long time collector, but will never claim to be an expert. There are just certain people I choose NOT to buy from. As far as Morales is concerned, the fact that he is Coaches Corners, authenicator of choice speaks for itself. He is a former partner of Donald Frangiapani, whose history everyone on here should be familar with.
just to spark up the GAI debate again.. i found a message board where a mickey mantle signed jersey was being discussed. it was a mitchell & ness jersey that passed GAI. someone emailed m&n about the jersey, and they told him by looking at the tag that the jersey was made in 2001, which happens to be long after the mick passed. this should be the URL, http://www.gameuseduniverse.com/vb_forum/showthread.php?t=7006 i hope it works if anybody wants to check it out. i haven't read all of it yet, so i don't know what became of it. that just goes to show you how unreliable GAI is.
This triple signed item of Jeter, A-Rod, and Nomar looks forged to me. Maybe it is because I have authentic autographs of all three. It is just my personal opinion.
http://cgi.ebay.com/Derek-Jeter-Alex-Rodriguez-Nomar-Garciaparra-Signed-Bat_W0QQitemZ260084594599QQihZ016QQcategoryZ27261QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Matt, you are absolutely correct. That is one horrible forgery of Jeter, Arod and Nomar by seller "Godhelp1." And people are bidding on that garbage.....Chris W.
GAI - Guys, I hate to say this, but I saw another GAI authenticated jersey of the 2006 Cardinals hanging on a rack in my favorite store in St. Charles, MO. It had a price tag of $2500 on it.
I know the owner, and he said he is consigning it for someone - and that he thought it looked legit. We went through a TON of Pujols signatures in on his counter - and none looked like the pointy (GAI STYLE) that only seem to be authenticated by GAI.
That Mantle jersey is a great example of how much GAI knows about autograph authentication...and as far as Morales and Frangipani - if they were in cahoots, then Morales has zero cred. period. Frangipani was a guy who was a supposed forensics expert for a fictional company set up only for the purpose of authenticating forgeries.
By the way, Premier auctions has a listng currently running for a Pope benedict signed baseball. PSA>GAI and JSA all refused to authenticate it. The fact that it is for sale shows just how greedy auction houses can be - I mean we are talking about the Pope here. Geez. Hey Rob -don't get any ideas.
PS If you want to inquire with the store I was speaking about in my previous post, email me and I will give you the details...name of store/number/owners' name if you live in the St. Louis area...
Hey chris,
Do you know the company stat authentic? I was looking at some of the mantle/maris they had up for sell. I dont know much about them. do you?
Hey guys,
We can all agree I am not to smart when it comes to buying autographes. But holly cow!--even i saw the crap from coaches corner and could tell it was crap. What I dont understand is why upper deck uses them. Also is J.S.A. ok or not ok. I have seen both good and bad about him. So I am unclear.
coachs corner sportrs auctions is definetly a joke. the uda items from them are not sent directly from uda, but from consigners. i have been searching and checking coachs corner for a few years and have noticed they sell alot of questionable (obvious) fakes. i think they need to be taken down and with a few more months of investigating, i think it can be done
Jodester,
hello. can you tell me how you became aware that christopher "rip you off" moralless I mean morales was a partner with frangio. If I could shove a document in the guys face who sold me that it would be great! Then he couldnt claim he was unaware. I searched all over the place for info on this morales guy and couldnt find anything. I even contacted george washington university and was told they had no record of him. to check with this other guy who hasnt called me back. with his so called expert background why is it so hard to find out about him? I learn more here then any place else.
Crystal61,
Last year SCD did a multipart series where they interviewed many well known authenticators, Morales was one, and in his interview he discussed his relationship with Frangiapani(who Coaches Corner used before SCD forced them to drop him) I believe it was Richard Simon who told me that "Morales never met an autograph he didnt like". I hate that you are discouraged with this hobby, please dont give up,but you do have to "do your homework", this site seems to be a good first step.
I echo Bigtruck's comments, Crystal. Don't be discouraged because of the fraudulent activity of hundreds of autograph sellers on Ebay. But you do you have to use common sense and do your homework. One of the biggest mistakes made by collectors is that "any autograph sold on Ebay must be authentic or Ebay wouldn't allow it to be up for bidding." Nothing could be further from the truth. First of all, Ebay, for the most part, does not care. Hundreds of thousands of fake autographs have been sold on Ebay since its inception. Money from the sales of those fake autograph items have profited the CEO, The Board of Ebay and their employees. The biggest problem I have with Ebay (and Bigtruck and J-Man, too) is that when we prove to Ebay that a seller is selling forgeries, they fail to take action 90% of the time. And when they do, that seller has already probably sold at least a few hundred forgeries. Ebay is all about fees and commissions and the crooks know that.....Chris W.
By the way, check out the junk by seller "17simon." They are selling all the junk that was sold by "Authentic-Graph.".....Chris W.
hERE IS A QUESTION. WHY THE HE@@ DOESNT EBAY AT LEAST LET PEOPLE KNOW THAT THE SELLER HAS HAD COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE STUFF THEY SELL. SORDA TAG THAT PERSON? THEY CAN STILL LET THE JERKS SELL THE CRAP. BUT ALSO CAN PUT UP SOME KIND OF WARNING TO CUSTOMERS! EVERY PIECE OF FAKE SHI@ I RECIEVED, I PUT LITTLE SMALL RED DOTS IN THE CORNERS OF IT ON THE BACK. THAT WAY IF I SAW IT AGAIN OUT THERE I WOULD KNOW. I PUT A MARK IN A PLACE THAT WOULD OTHER WISE NOT BE NOTICED. ONLY IF YOU KNEW WHAT TO LOOK FOR. IT MAY SOUND CRAZY TO SOME PEOPLE, BUT IT WAS A WAY FOR ME TO KINDA "TRACK" THAT ITEM. iF EVERYBODY COULD TAG SELLERS AND FAKE MEMORABILIA THEN MAYBE WE COULD STOP THIS BS FROM GOING ON! ILL SHUT UP NOW.
CRYSTAL
JODESTER,
THANK YOU FOR THE INFO. I AM REALY TRYING NOT TO GET DISCOURAGED. IT SHOULD BE A LAW THAT COLLECTORS READ THIS SITE BEFOUR BUYING ANYTHING. I WISH I HAD FOUND IT SOONER. THIS PLACE REALY HELPS PEOPLE ALOT. I FOR ONE AM THANKFUL FOR IT,=AND ALL OF YOU.
What do you guys know about cards? Check this auction out
170081798423
Have you ever seen a card like that before? I see the MLB logo on the back and the hall of fame logo, but I have never seen a card like that.
OK. I AM ABOUT TO MAKE A GOOD OFFER TO E-BAY SELLER JK SPORTSCARDS FOR ITEM # 170082076924 BEFOUR I GO ANY FURTHER I WOULD LIKE SOME REAL GOOD ADVISE ON THIS ITEM. BEEN BURNED ENOUGH!
That Mantle litho is a great piece to discuss. I have looked at it a few times and in my opinion the signature is not authentic. Once again another GAI piece that is questionable. If you look at the signature closley you can notice it looks either traced or signed by someone looking off an example. It does not have a smooth flow to it like all authentic Mantle signatures do. In my opinion, and I have been collecting Mantles for years, the signature is a forgery... Another thing to think about is this print was originally done for UDA... yet it was signed and authenicated by Global. Stay away from this piece.
OK THANK YOU. ILL TRY AGAIN SOME PLACE ELSE ON E-BAY. THANKS FOR THE HEADS UP
OK I FOUND ANOTHER PEICE. SELLER SBALLATU ITEM NO 270088102876 WHAT ABOUT THAT ONE?
170081798423
This item looks like someone altered a card after market. That Ruth sig is just terrible! Anyone else? Sure did go for enough money. Geez.
Crystal - I agree with the person who questioned the Mantle sig. It looks a little shakey, and there are ink collections at certain points indicating someone stopping and starting again....I'm not a Mantle person, but it is kinda funny how it had to go through GAI when it was a UD item. We may have to have a voluntee research it, I am not accusing anyone just yet...
As far as sballatu and his signed Mantle photo, it was authenticated by Jimmy Spence, amd comes with a full letter. It looks good, and Spence is one of the best in the business. Crystal, honestly, the only way to be 100% vertain you have a Mantle sig is to either weatch someone sign it - or gat one with a UDA hologram on it with COA.
I know that Mick signed some stuff for Goldin and the Socre Board, but those COA's were copied and forged. I would take a chance on the JSA Mantle.
I had the first comments about the Mantle litho, I just wanted to say BigTruck is right on with his comments as well about the stop marks in the signature. Take a marker and stop for a second with it, when you do the ink will leave a bold spot and this is the case with the Mantle signature. Someone doing Mantle's signature who has to stop and think about it or is looking of an exemplar is going to make this mistake and its an easy way to pick out a questionable signature. Look at any UDA Mantle signature... it is very smooth and have a wonderful looking flow to it, why becuase mantle signed his names hundreds of thousands of times and developed the wonderful signature is was famous for. As for the JSA authenticated photo, it does look to be a legit signature signed from a card show from the early 90's. -J
THANKS GUYS. THE SELLER OF THE LITHO I SAW E-MAILED ME BACK IN RESPONSE TO MY QUESTIONS ABOUT HIS COA AND OFFERED A MONEY BACK GUARENTEE ON IT. FOR THREE DAYS! WHO THE HECK CAN GET SOMETHING LOOKED AT BY JSA IN THREE DAYS! GIVE ME A BREAK!I AM UNWILLING TO TAKE A CHANCE ON IT. SO I AM GOING TO GO FOR THE PHOTO. WISH ME LUCK!
im actually going to defend gai just on ths one arguement about the mantle jersey
just because it has a global sticker and coa card doesnt mean this is the actual item they exaimed.sticker could of been easliy removed and placed on another jersey then forged mantles name.im only pointing ths out because of the peyton manning 8x10 with sbxli inscb on ebay that turned out to be a sticker switch on 2 different photos
food for thought but either way global still sucks
jeter_sucks"
GAI stickers crumble if you try to remove them. They are designed that way to stop people from switching.
Jack - I have never tried to remove one. However, I have seen a tampered sticker. I pointed it out to a dealer last month. They apparently can break into several pieces, but if someone doesn't pay close enough attention- a shady character can glue the pieces into such a way that the sticker looks close enough to pass an amateur inspection.
I am guessing that some folks rely on idiots who are never going to verify thier merch. online. This is why I am all for putting names and inscriptions on COA cards for PSA/GAI and JSA. I know it will cost more $, but it only makes sense.
Yu have guys buying a PSA item and adding sigs to it - crooks will do anything to get a few extra bucks. including ruining a HOF signed baseball.
On a multi autographed or team autographed item that is why you need to have full page COA with photo of the item showing all the autographs that came from the company that issued the COA.
You guys want to see a real stupid-looking forgery. Check out Ebay Item Number 150092890256 from seller "Pscior46." Who in their right mind would even try to post a stupid-looking forgery like that fake Derek Jeter autograph....Chris W.
what is the whole story on authentic-graph? are they 100% fake ? i hear they sell non gai off ebay in massive quantity and then just gai stuff on ebay? is all their stuff fake? why did they get kicked off ebay ? they have like 4 user ids
Wow! That Jeter h
